Artist’s Statement & Disclaimer

The artwork presented under the name ArtEssence® consists of original, one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces that transform luxury wallpaper samples into entirely new creative expressions. This process involves physically cutting, gluing, layering, and materially altering wallpaper patterns and textures — often combining them with other materials such as wax, metal, beads, artificial flowers, or plastic — to create artworks that transcend the wallpaper’s original decorative function.

All wallpapers used in ArtEssence® creations are obtained as individual samples, typically surplus or discontinued materials that brands discard after seasonal use. No full wallpaper rolls are purchased. These samples are repurposed as raw materials in a sustainable, small-scale artistic practice, helping to reduce waste and support creative reuse.

While ArtEssence® artworks may incorporate wallpapers originally designed by third-party manufacturers, ArtEssence® is entirely independent and unaffiliated with any wallpaper brand, manufacturer, or company. No brand has sponsored, authorised, approved, or collaborated in the creation of these pieces.

This disclaimer serves to:

• Affirm that each artwork is a transformative, original, and materially distinct creation, not a reproduction or replica of any wallpaper design;

• Deny any implied endorsement, affiliation, or association with any wallpaper brand, thus preventing confusion or potential trademark infringement;

• Clarify that ArtEssence® artworks are not official merchandise, licensed products, or authorised reproductions of any brand’s intellectual property.

 

All rights in the original wallpaper designs remain the exclusive property of their respective copyright holders. The inclusion of wallpaper fragments in ArtEssence® artworks constitutes transformative, artistic use within the context of original visual art. Purchasing or displaying these artworks does not confer any rights, licenses, or claims related to the underlying wallpaper designs beyond the physical artwork itself.
